It's almost here! Twinsfest 2012 is right around the corner! Twinsfest 2012 will be held at the Metrodome from January 27 through 29th, 2012.
There are more than 60 Twins players expected at Twinsfest 2012, current, former and future Twins players! There will, of course, be autograph stations to get your favorite Twins players autographs. You'll also be able to get your picture of with of these Twins players!
Those who enjoy singing and the Twins, you will have the chance to audition to sing the National Anthem and "God Bless America" at Twinsfest, for a Twins game during the 2012 season.
What is the point of Twinsfest? Well, besides the fans getting to rub elbows with some famous Twins players, the main point is to raise money for the Minnesota Twins Community Fund. Twinsfest started in 1989 and the Twins Community Fund started in 1989. Twinsfest alone has raised more than 4.2 million dollars for the Twins Community Fund! That is a lot of support from fans like you!
Just a few of the Minnesota Twins former players expected to be at Twinsfest are Jacque Jones, Shannon Stewart, Rod Carew, Kent Hrbek, Corey Koskie, Al Newman and Tony Oliva. You better believe crowd favorites Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau will be there representing the current players!
Let's kick off the 2012 Twins baseball season the right way, let's get in the spirit by attending Twinsfest, while at the same time, helping a great cause!

Target Field Brothers Of The Sun Tour: Kenny Chesney & Tim McGraw
Guess who received some concert tickets for Christmas!? Me! Me!
I'm stoked to be going to the Brothers Of The Sun Tour to see Country music hot shots Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw at Target Field!
I follow country music here and there, and I know quite a few of the bigger songs that Chesney and McGraw have done, but what I'm most excited about is to see the Twins stadium Target Field be turned into a concert venue! The Brothers Of The Sun tour is the first concert that will be played at Target Field, and I'm so excited to see how it turns out! Will we have good weather? Will the music sound good in the stadium? Will seats in the stands actually be good seats, or will they be too far away to have a good view?
The Target Field concert seating chart shows that the stage will be in center field, with general admission seats on the floor right by the stage, these seats are called Sandbar general admission seats. Only people with these sandbar tickets are going to be able to get right up next to the stage. Then there are floor seats that are reserved. Then, there are all the different areas of the stands where you sit for a Twins game, the dugout boxes, 100, 200, 300, and Legends Club seats.
It will be interesting to see what happens with this outdoor concert at Target Field. There is so much unpredictability with an outdoor event. The last huge outdoor show in the Minneapolis area was the U2 concert at TCF Bank Stadium, and that ended up having to be rescheduled, but went off without a hitch on the rescheduled date.
The Brothers Of The Sun tour is wildly popular, and I wouldn't wait too long to get your tickets, if you're hoping to see two great country acts tour together and see the first ever concert at Target Field. It will be an event that will forever be talked about--since it's the first concert in this venue!

Minnesota Twins lose fan favorite Michael Cuddyer to CO Rockies
It's official. Michael Cuddyer will not wear a Minnesota Twins uniform in 2012. As of today, Michael Cuddyer and the Colorado Rockies have agreed to a three-year, $31 million deal.
Michael Cuddyer has been a Minnesota Twin since he was a first round draft pick on the Twins in 1997. The Twins signed Josh Willingham to a three-year, $21 million deal, and let Cuddyer go.
It's said by some that even though Cuddyer is a Twins fan favorite, Minnesota may have come out on top by not signing Cuddyer. The Minnesota Twins got Josh Willingham for a three-year contract at $21 million. This is less money then they could have paid to keep Cuddyer for someone with a similar batting average, etc and the Minnesota Twins get two draft picks. Hopefully this will end up being a step in the right direction for the Minnesota Twins to get back in the swing of things for a winning season in 2012. Lord knows Twins Territory needs a facelift and something big to happen to get Twins Fans back into the game of baseball.
Minnesota Twins tickets for the 2012 season are available now. Check with Ticket King, who always has great Minnesota Twins tickets available!
Good Luck, Cuddyer! You will be missed in Twins Territory!

How to get to Target Field
How can you get to Target Field? Let me count the ways! There is an abundance of transportation options to get to and from Target Field. Target Field is the most multi-modal, transit-oriented ballpark in the United States!
Public Transit is available to get to Target Field! You can use the Light Rail, Regular Route Bus, the Northstar Commuter Rail or a Special Event Bus!
If you're biking or walking to Target Field you can take the Cedar Lake Bike Trail or the Downtown Pedestrian Routes. There are plenty of places to lock up your bike around the Target Field, and you'll get out of there quick without having to wait for public transit or to get out of a parking lot!
Of course there is the option to drive to the game! There are a lot of parking ramps near Target Field as well as service parking lots surrounding Target Field. Try to get to Target Field a little bit early to ensure you can get a spot in a lot that isn't too far from the field, otherwise you might be forced to park and walk quite a few blocks!
What better to do in the off season than figure out the best way to get to Target Field and map it out! You'll be ready by the time spring arrives and games start again!

Twins player Joe Mauer says healthy, ready for spring training
Minnesota Twins catcher, and fan favorite, Joe Mauer, spoke to reporters today, saying he is "healthy and happy" and is ready to start the preparations for spring training.
Mauer says he wanted to make the statement in the hopes that it will ease Twins fans concerns about the health issues he had last season.
St Paul native Mauer went on to say he understands the frustration that fans had about his lack of field time last season, but that no one was more frustrated than he was about having to sit on the sidelines.
I think all Twins fans hope this is all true! There has been some rumors about some horrible illnesses, and I just hope none of them end up being true! Looking forward to seeing you play in many games in 2012, Mauer!
