You read it right! Target Field has announced that the first concert the venue hosts will be country music singer superstars Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney.

Target Field made the announcement on Monday! This will be the very first concert to ever take place at Target Field. The Kenny Chesney Tim McGraw Target Field concert will take place on July 8th, 2012, which is a Sunday night.

Touring together is nothing new for Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney! They have toured together before, and the two superstars put on an excellent night of music!

Target Field concert ticket details have yet to be released, so I don't know when the event will go on sale or how much the tickets will be.

Tim McGraw has 32 No. 1 singles and three Grammy awards, and has also acted in popular movies such as The Blind Side and Friday Night Lights!

Kenny Chesney has been the CMA Entertainer of the Year winner FOUR TIMES! If you have not seen Kenny Chesney on tour yet, you are missing out! He puts on an amazing show!

The Chesney/McGraw tour is called the "Brothers of the Sun" tour and kicks off June 2 in Tampa, Florida. If you thought Kenny and Tim were good, you're in for even more of a treat! Opening for the mega country stars are Grace Potter & the Nocturnal as well as uber popular new-comer Jake Owen!

Minnesota Twins baseball GM Bill Smith replaced by former GM Terry Ryan

On Monday, the Minnesota Twins announced that Twins general manager Bill Smith is being replaced by Terry Ryan on an interim basis. Ryan was the Minnesota Twins GM from 1994-2007, which is when Terry Ryan moved on to a role of senior adviser to the general manager.

The reason behind the replacement is being cited as "philosophical differences" by the Minnesota Twins team president Dave St. Peter. Twins owner, Jim Pohlad, would give no specific details, other than the public reaction to the Twins 99-loss season did not prompt the change.

Bill Smith has been offered a difference position within the Twins orgnazation, although he has not yet decided if he will accept that job.

Cory Brewers Provus new voice of Twins Target Field broadcast

The Brewers may have beat our Minnesota Twins this year, but we have their announcer!

Cory Provus has been hired as the new radio play-by-play voice for the Twins. Previously, Provus, 33, worked as the No. 2 radio voice for the Brewers, next to Bob Uecker, for the past three years.

Since the retirement of John Gordon at the end of this last baseball season, the Twins needed a new broadcast guy. Provus will join Dan Gladden. Cory will handle play-by-play duties for either five or six innings, with Gladden doing the rest of the innings. The two of them will always serve as a two-man booth.

Perhaps Provus will help shake things up for the Twins 2012 season!
