North Star Rail Stop Twins Game

The North Star Rail Stop is easy to easy to use and very convenient when it comes to getting to a Twins game. The average person saves 884 dollars per month by using public transportation. The North Star is quick and efficient. Here are the places that North Star riders can transfer to free of charge:

The North Star rail connects you from St. Cloud to the Minneapolis-St. Paul area and everywhere in between. The North Star rail was created in 2009 and has been expanding ever since.

Create a Memory Scheduled for August 16th

On August 16th, Ron Zamansky will be hosting the Create a Memory event at Target Field. Create a Memory buses in under privileged kids to Target Field. The kids get tours of the stadiums, free food, and a chance to play on the field. They get to throw around baseballs, run the bases, hit, and a chance to get a hitting lesson from Steve Winfield. This is the peak of most of these kids summers and is a great foundation. Thankfully the Twins are nice enough to let the Create a Memory Foundation let the event take place at Target Field, the nicest stadium in the state of Minnesota.

Huge Series for the Twins This Weekend!

The Twins are playing a huge series this weekend against the Detroit Tigers. I'm a little worried about the first game. Justin Verlander is an absolute beast of a pitcher. We can practically guarantee that we are going to see a quality start from him. He has only had two starts that he hasn't last at least six innings and allowed less than three runs. He is a strike out machine with a 100 mph fastball and deadly curveball. He is a threat for a no hitter every night.

Here's a prediction for you. The Twins are going to rough up Verlander and Carl Pavano is going to give the Twins a high quality start tonight. The Twins are coming off some huge wins against Cleveland and I don't see the momentum stopping here. Pavano has been too clutch for the Twins during his time here for him to play poorly tonight. If we can win the first game of this series, who knows how fast we will climb up the standings.

Parking Options at Target Field

Are you looking for places to park at Target Field? Here's my advice to you, they have Minneapolis A, B, C and Hawthorne Municipal parking ramps that are directly adjacent to Target Field. The cost of these ramps ranges between 7 and 11 dollars. Here's the thing with these ramps, it is not the best time in the world getting out of them. They have a total of 7,000 spaces, which is nice, but it also means a ton of people are leaving at the same time so it can be kind of horrible. If you park a little farther away over on Hennepin you can find some equally cheap lots that are easier to get out of. My suggestion is to get to the A, B, C lots, but get there early so that you park on one of the first floors so it's quick getting out.

Go Twins!

Kansas City Minnesota Twins Series Preview

The Twins begin a series with the Kansas City Royals tonight. This is a huge series for the Twins. It is their first series since the All Star break. While they are six and a half games back, this stretch until the deadline will be the final push for the team. If they falter and move back to say 8 or 9 games back by the time that July 31st deadline rolls around, they will likely be sellers and could trade away some interesting players. Players that could be dealt include Francisco Liriano, Michael Cuddyer, and Jim Thome. Here are the pitching match ups for the Twins upcoming series with the Kansas City Royals.

July 14th:

Liriano (5-7) Chen (5-2)

July 15th:

Blackburn (7-6) Hochevar (5-8)

July 16th:

Pavano (6-6) Francis (3-10)

July 17th:
Duensing (6-7) Paulino (1-6)

Check Out My Thoughts on the All Star Game and Cuddyer

I wrote a blog about the All Star Game and how Cuddyer did. You can also check out my twitter. I'll post some links right here.

Joe Mauer Agrees to Play 1st Base

Joe Mauer will be playing first base Thursday in Chicago. Mauer needs to do this so that he can rest his body and get his bat in the lineup. Mauer has been somewhat pressured into doing this by the media and fans, but I don't blame him. People pay lots of money to watch Mauer play, making it unacceptable for people to show up to Target Field and not get to see Mauer. The Twins are paying him 180 million dollars and they aren't paying him that much to sit on the bench and talk about how tired his legs are.

Mauer's probably going to be really good at 1st base. It's pretty much like catching, but much, much easier. He might not know the positioning that well, but this guy has an amazingly high baseball IQ. I trust him to make all the right plays and play very well.

Tampa Bay Rays Twins Series Preview

Okay so the Tampa Bay Rays and the Twins began their series on Monday. They got it started with a bang. The Twins beat David Price and the Tampa Bay Rays 7-0. Brian Duensing threw a 6-hit shut out and the Twins tagged All Star David Price for 4 runs in his first four innings. Danny Valencia and Michael Cuddyer both hit huge home runs that made the game wide open. Duensing didn't need all that help, but the breathing room had to be nice.

Here's a look at the pitching matchups for the next two games (from ESPN):

Tampa Bay
(47-38)
SP: Shields (8-5)
Minnesota
