Twins Win 6-4 Last Night

The Minnesota Twins looked great last night. Sure, Brian Duensing only gave them 5 innings, but that was bound to happen considering he has been pitching so well as of late. The most surprising thing about his performance is that he walked four people since Duensing is known for his control.

"The great thing about baseball is you get to play every day," Minnesota manager Ron Gardenhire said. "We just turned the page."

The Twins got a huge go-ahead home run from Luke Hughes in the 5th inning and Matt Capps got his 12th save in 17 chances.

This game snapped the Twins' 6 game losing streak.

Target Field is the Place to Be with Twins on a Roll

The Minnesota Twins are on a roll folks. They are absolutely dominating baseball after an impressive 8-1 homestand. They now go on the road for a California trip during interleague play. They will face the defending World Champion San Francisco Giants and the Los Angeles Dodgers on the trip. It will be interesting to see how they fare against former CY Young winner Tim Lincecum in the finale of the series against the Giants.

The Dodgers are really struggling and that should be great news for the Twins. As long as the Twins are the hottest team in baseball, a Twins tickets is the hottest ticket in town. Buy Twins Tickets from Ticket King as they have the lowest prices and the best packages.

Trade Cuddyer?

The Twins face some difficult decisions in the upcoming weeks. They can either become buyers or sellers. A lot of that depends on how the team plays in the next couple of weeks. If they continue to play better, they could become buyers at the trade deadline and try to make a playoff push or they could become sellers and try to build for the future. If they become sellers, which it's looking likely that they will be, look for them to try to trade Michael Cuddyer. Why Cuddyer?

Cuddyer is a likely candidate for a few reasons. The first being that his value might never be higher considering he is playing extremely well and has brought his average up past .270 after a poor start to the season. He's also very versatile. He can play 1st base, has played 2nd, and can play the corner outfield spots. He's also played a little 3rd base and could play centerfield if need be. Since he's so versatile, he could helpful towards pretty much any contender.

Two Target Field Trees Find a Home

Target Field Batter's EyeTwo more of the 14 displaced trees from Target Field have found a home. The Twins will put the pair of black spruce at St. Croix State Park in Hinckley. There will be a brief ceremony.

The Twins' hitters complained that the trees, formerly planted in center field, were a hindrance to the batters' abilities to see the ball leave the pitcher's hand.

I still find that to be unbelievable not true and, instead of the just black hole that now sits in center field, maybe the Twins should have put up more of that Minnesota limestone. The black hole looks weird.
