Will Target Field Upgrades Make a Difference To Fans?

Target FieldAfter just blogging on the recent Target Field upgrades for next season, I was curious as what the fan reaction is. With the new scoreboard, "Twin Towers", and WiFi, I was interested in wondering what the Minnesota Twins fans' opinion is. Or, were there any other changes that you wish Target Field would have made? Please comment below and voice your opinion.

Target Field Upgrades

Target FieldAfter a wonderful 1st season at Target Field, upgrades are already being made for the brand new stadium. Apparently they will spend $6 million on the new upgrades. One of the upgrades includes a new scoreboard. The new scoreboard will hang above right field seating area. A 100-foot tall LED-lit column will sit alongside the scoreboard, which will be called the "Twins Tower." Twins spokesman Chris Iles says the improvements to the ballpark will include adjustments to audio-visual elements and concession areas as well as a variety of aesthetical changes. There will also be free Wi-Fi Internet service provided throughout the ballpark. The Twins are calling it their "TwiFi" network.

Cliff Lee Dominates for Texas Rangers, Forces Fan to Ask Question "What If?"

Cliff LeeThe Minnesota Twins and fans realize one of the main components holding the franchise back from advancing to the World Series is the lack of an ace. If you glance at the Texas Rangers right now, they are up 3-1 on the New York Yankees and their only loss was letting go of a 5-0 lead in Game 1. While their bats have done the talking, Cliff Lee is once again proving himself as one of the best playoff pitchers in our generation. He silenced the Tampa Bay Rays and New York Yankees bats so far in the playoffs. He is 7-0 with a 1.6 ERA in the playoffs. The Minnesota Twins nearly acquired Lee at the trade deadline. Makes a fan wonder what Lee would have done with the Twins.

Season Over, Look Forward to Next Year

Ron GardenhireThe Minnesota Twins were not able to mount a comeback and was swept at the hands of the New York Yankees. It was an unfortunate end to what was a great regular season. I'd just like to say thanks to all those who visited the site during the year for any Minnesota Twins updates or Target Field news. It was a tremendous first year in the stadium and I only hope we can keep building on the success we started there this season. There will be plenty of decisions to make this offseason, as always. I'm already looking forward to next season.

New York Yankees Up 2-0 on Minnesota Twins

Joe Mauer The Yanks are up 2-0 (again). It hurts. If Minnesota were to win this series, it would be the deciding 5th Game at Target Field. However, one step at a time as they say. The Minnesota Twins need to win Game 3. It's win or go home. Brian Duensing will square off against Phil Hughes. For all us Minnesota Twins fans, go get em' guys.

It's Set: Minnesota Twins vs. New York Yankees for ALDS

Ron Gardenhire and Joe GiradiThe first round of the American League Playoffs will feature the Texas Rangers vs. Tampa Bay Rays and Minnesota Twins vs. New York Yankees. For the first time, the Minnesota Twins will have homefield advantage and host the New York Yankees. They have been defeated in 2003, 2004, and 2009 in the ALDS by the New York Yankees. This is a HUGE opportunity for revenge if the Minnesota Twins can get past the Bombers from the East. The series starts on Wednesday (7:30 Central) and will be followed with a game on Thursday (5 Central) at Target Field. Get your Minnesota Twins playoffs tickets today!

Section 103: My Season Tickets

Target Field My season tickets are in Section 103. The view is fabulous and the atmosphere is great. Section 103 is along the first base line and right field. It offers a great view to the entire field and is right by Target Plaza. The Minnesota Twins have been fun to watch all summer long and now they will enter the postseason in October. The stadium experience is something I have never experienced in Minnesota. Before the game, we have stopped in at any of the local bars by the stadium, including Kieran's, O'Donovans, The 508 Club, and Roy Smalley's. Target Field is the place to be!
