Home Opener vs. the Oakland Athletics
On Friday, April 8, 2011 the Oakland Athletics will visit Target Field. By that time, the Minnesota Twins will have played 7 games, against the Toronto Blue Jays and New York Yankees. They will open up Target Field with a 3 game series against the Oakland Athletics and a 2 game series against the Kansas City Royals. The Oakland Athletics have a bright pitching staff that was one of the most consistent in the American League last season. It should be a great home opener!
